The smallest arrangement that helps

About Home Care in Cooper City

Agencies are rewarded for selling hours. The households that keep care going longest are the ones that bought fewer of them at the start, and we have built the way we work around that.

A small agency that starts small

Non-medical home care, worked across the south-western corner of Broward County: washing and dressing, getting about the house without coming down, cooking, keeping the rooms straight, and sitting with somebody. Private pay, charged by the hour.

The usual failure in this trade is not a bad aide. It is too much care arriving too early. A household that has been coping is handed twelve hours a week, somebody feels managed rather than helped, and the whole arrangement is cancelled inside a month — after which nobody wants to try again for another year.

So we do the opposite. We ask which jobs have actually stopped going well, we buy only those, and we run a deliberately small first week. If it turns out to be too little, that is a telephone call and a change. Too much is much harder to undo, because by then somebody has decided that help feels like being taken over.

We hold an AHCA licence, and that licence settles the outer limits of an aide's work. Everything described above sits well inside those limits and is simply how we have chosen to operate.

What goes into a match

Four things are weighed before a name is put forward, and none of them is simply who happens to be available.

01

Manner before credentials

Identical training produces wildly different people once they are sitting in somebody's front room. Pace, talkativeness and patience come first in the weighing, because those are the qualities a family actually has to live alongside.

02

Distance from the house

Punctuality is the first casualty of a long commute, and the booking is the second. Whoever lives closest to the street gets named first, which is precisely why our map follows our staff rather than the other way round.

03

The shape of the week

An aide who can be depended on for a 7am shower five days running is a wholly different hire from one who suits a single unhurried Saturday. The diary you genuinely need is what we match against.

04

Who covers the gaps

The cover aide is chosen alongside the main one, so a holiday or a bout of flu never turns into an unannounced stranger at the door.

Tell us what has got hard

One job, not a history. From that we can usually tell you how small the first arrangement could reasonably be.

Too little is fixable. Too much often is not.

Which is the whole argument for starting with one job and a short week.
